Estate ManagementHanging baskets in Arden

Effective management of the environment around the Association’s properties and any common areas is a key factor to ensure that our neighbourhoods are attractive, well-maintained, safe and secure places to live.

To achieve this, we undertake various activities and actions to enhance the appearance of estates.  In all instances, where resources allow, the Association seeks to co-operate with other relevant agencies and, where possible, adopt a partnership approach to promote sustainable communities.

All residents are made aware of their respective responsibilities when they sign their tenancy agreement.  These are reinforced in the Tenants' Handbook, in newsletters, by staff undertaking estate visits and through information being made available in the Estate Action Plans and through this website.

The Association places emphasis upon preventative measures, whilst adopting procedures designed to resolve issues and problems at an early stage.  We aim to tackle problems quickly, sensitively and effectively.

Stair Cleaning Contract 2010/12

The Association appointed Caledonian Cleaning Services Limited in March 2010.  Copies of the weekly and 4 weekly stair cleaning rotas are available to download.  If you would like us to post a copy to you, please contact our office on 0141 648 0999.

It is essential that all prams, bikes, plants, door mats, etc. are removed on this day as the contractor is not responsible for moving items and the area will not be cleaned where there are obstructions.

As part of this contract the Association will be sending out a Customer Satisfaction Form to a proportion of residents to gauge how they feel about the service being provided.  The Association will consider any improvements you suggest and will act on any concerns you may have.  As well as the Customer Satisfaction Form, our Housing Services Assistants will post-inspect a number of closes (these addresses will change on a weekly basis).

Your co-operation during this contract would be appreciated as the Association strives to make your community a more pleasant place to live.  Please do not hesitate to contact the Housing Services Department on 0141 638 0999 if you wish to discuss this contract.

Vandalism/Graffiti

If you see any evidence of vandalism please report this to our office on 0141 638 0999 to enable us to carry out a repair as soon as possible.

If you see any person commit an act of vandalism please report this to Pollok Police Office on 0141 532 5600 (anonymously if you wish).  Please ask the Police for a Crime Report Number, and report it to the Association.

Vandalism costs Glen Oaks thousands of pounds every year - money that can be spent on improving the living conditions of everyone in the area.
